Just like when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, everyone played a part and built where they lived. Some carried swords, some labored,
many did both, all worked in their neighborhood. Will you play your role and help rebuild the spiritual climate of your community? If not you, then who? Who will help share the Good News found in Jesus with the students in your middle and high school? Will the school talk about
Jesus? Nope. Will the government make a law helping student here about the historic Jesus? Not a chance. Only if the local churches in your neighborhood band together to share the name of Jesus with lost students will they ever hear. Many of those students haven’t heard about the hope of Christ, they’ve only ever heard about the curse word of Jesus. Will you be a part of helping them see him as a Savior?
Whatever role you feel called to take on, we require that you are a FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST and maintain an active relationship in a local church that is in agreement with our statement of faith, avoiding disqualifying behavior that Scripture forbids (Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10), and setting a positive biblical example “in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12, c.f. Galatians 5:22-25)
